Play Powerball® May 18, 2025, through July 19, 2025, and you could be 1 of 15 Rhode Island semi-finalists to win $500 and be entered in a multi-state drawing to determine the 16 multi-state semi-finalists.

The 16 multi-state finalists will participate in a series of drawings that coincide with elimination rounds during the NASCAR Playoffs to determine 4 finalists who will win a VIP Trip Prize to the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Weekend™. 1 of the 4 finalists will win $1 million in a drawing broadcast live from the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race™ on November 2, 2025.

To enter, buy a Powerball ticket from any Rhode Island Lottery retailer Sunday, May 18, 2025, through Saturday, July 19, 2025.  Then, enter the Second Chance Code from the front of the ticket by 11:59:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2025, for your chance to be a semi-finalist. You can scan the QR code with the mobile app or enter the Second Chance Code manually.

15 Rhode Island Lottery semi-finalists will be drawn on July 21, 2025, followed by the series of Powerball Playoff multi-state drawing announcements below:

• Drawing 1 - Round of 16

16 semi-finalists drawn will be announced on August 23, 2025, during the race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL.

• Drawing 2 – Round of 12

4 players will be eliminated and received $2,500 each, and the 12 semi-finalists advancing will be announced on September 13, 2025, during the race at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN.

• Drawing 3 – Round of 8

4 players will be eliminated and received $5,000 each, and the 8 semi-finalists advancing will be announced on October 5, 2025, during the race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC.

• Drawing 4 – Round of 4

4 players will be eliminated and received $7,500 each, and the 4 finalists to advance and win the VIP Trip will be announced on October 26, 2025, during the race at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, VA.

• Drawing 5 – $1 Million Winner

The final drawing for the $1 million grand prize winner will be broadcast live from the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race™ on November 2, 2025, at Phoenix Raceway® in Avondale, AZ. The other 3 finalists will win $10,000 each.

Drawing & Prize Information:

The Rhode Island Lottery Semi-Finalists in the NASCAR Powerball Playoff™ Promotion will be drawn on Monday, July 21, 2025. All Winners must claim their prize no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2025.  If any Semi-Finalist fails to claim their prize by this deadline, they will be disqualified, and their prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be drawn to win the $500 prize and be entered in the multi-state drawing.  

The winners of the multi-state drawings will be announced at the above races and also published on the NASCAR Powerball Playoff™ website.
